Upstate Farms is a grower and distributor of specialty produce based in Tivoli, NY — the heart of the Hudson Valley.

How do we do it?
Our offices are open seven days a week to take orders. Each Monday we send our clients a list of what is available. When we receive an order, we transmit a “pick list” to our farmers, and the order is delivered on the next delivery day - providing our clients with the freshest possible products.

We deliver to New York City on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Most mid-town orders are received by 10:am. Downtown locations receive delivery by noon.

Is everything we sell organic?
Upstate Farms grows and distributes produce from as many as 25 farms in a four county area. More than half these farms are certified organic.

Upstate Farms operates year-round, offering our clients a wide range of products. We work with multiple small farms in upstate New York to distribute the very best locally produced food.

We emphasize seasonality. In spring, summer, and fall we have a vast array of fresh, local vegetables and fruits. Additionally, we can supply locally made cheeses and dairy products like butter, milk, creme fraiche, and yogurt. Year-round, we offer things like mesclun greens, baby lettuces, micro greens, pea shoots, herbs, eggs, honey, apples, and sunchokes. In wintertime, when local production is more limited, we work with small farms down south to continue to provide a diversity of fresh produce to our restaurant customers.

We also offer freshly foraged items, like ramps from our own forest, fiddlehead ferns, mushrooms, and nettles. When available, we have local fresh poussin, turkey, pork, and occasionally other meats - ask us!
