Michael and I were so pleased to be a part of The Organic and Sustainable Farm to Restaurant Summit sponsored by Slow Food NYC at the Glenwood Center in Cold Springs NY  last sunday.  We had some inspiring conversations with our  fellow regional farmers and New York City chefs. It was great opportunity for us to have some real one on one with our partners in the local food movement!  It was encouraging to see how the food movement has changed since we started promoting local farms so many years ago.  There was a lot of new young energy and enthusiasm in the room that was great to see and learn from.  It was also especially welcoming to see and hear Elizabeth Henderson, one of the early innovators of the CSA movement, speak about her passions for growing and the importance of a fair wage for farm workers. If you don't know who she is I encourage you to read some of her work here
